Within the covers of this mighty tome, you will find 221 pages of sheet music covering all 14 songs (plus the overture) that make up Michael A. Grant’s debut musical. These are the exact arrangements as used on the 2019 concept album, and as such feature pretty much every single note and nuance heard in those recordings (along with one or two that weren’t!). It is therefore fair to say that this represents the definitive score for the original musical.
 
The music is scored for 4 vocalists (2 female, 2 male) and 2 pianos (of unspecified gender). Chord symbols are provided in order to outline the underlying harmony and ease analysis. To give context to the songs, this score also contains an appendix which reproduces the story outline as included with the concept album. Furthermore, the edition is beautifully presented in a purple/maroon cloth-covered hardback cover, with the title and composer’s name embossed in gold foil. In fact, even if you never get round to opening the book it will still look amazing standing regally on your shelf. In short, what’s not to love?
